Jeremy,

I missed this post. Love your contrast of M42. I posted at the URL on my blog the contrast I did of some of the spring Messier. Light pollution truly does impact the view.

I have one of M42 at a dark site I am going to post and then IF I can get the time in during the next week I want to try and capture it and sketch M42 from my backyard. Anyway, I should when I am done have all four seasons done with six to ten objects from each season.

I'm also working on trying to do an Astronomy Sketch app. See you,

Jay

You should go into more detail about the equipement used for your sketches such as size of telescope, magnification used, ETC

Thanks, Jay! I've been enjoying all your great sketches. Your work with the Mellish white on black technique is excellent. For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, be sure to browse the sketches Jay's site, Jay's Astronomical Observing Log.

Hi, this is a great point. I do mark equipment notes on my usual report sketches. So far, I've kept the article summaries pretty basic. I'll look at adding that information. Thanks for the suggestion!
